Transforming 60,000 metric tons of agave bagasse into biochar yearly.
Significantly reduce carbon emissions while enhancing soil health and supporting regenerative agriculture.
Large-scale on-field experiment in collaboration with agricultural research institutions, studying biochar’s long-term effects on soil regeneration.
Located in Mexico’s renowned tequila-producing region, the project is strategically positioned near major distilleries, ensuring material sourcing and streamlined production. The biochar produced will be distributed to local farmers, integrating sustainable soil management practices that improve fertility, water retention, and crop yields.
- Captures and sequesters CO₂ through photosynthesis of biomass and long term storage of the thermochemical process of pyrolysis.
- Improves soil health, water retention, and microbial activity when used in agriculture.
- Reduces pollutants in wastewater and enhances sustainable construction materials like carbon-negative cement.
